Just Something You Should Know

Ingredients in The Akins Spicy Chicken Burger
What are we really eating?

ZINC OXIDE - Now, findings show that it causes cell death if eaten. Cell death can lead to muscle disintegration and cancer, among its many effects. Zinc oxide was twice as toxic in the form of small nanoparticles compared to larger particles of zinc oxide when the particles had direct contact with colon cells.

NIACINAMIDE-
-Potential eye effects from niacinamide include swelling in the macula, the central area of vision, and toxic ambylopia, or lazy eye. If you suddenly notice a change in vision, see your eye doctor immediately.

-Niacinamide may have some benefit in prolonging the "honeymoon period" in type 1 diabetes, the time period when the pancreas still makes some insulin. At larger doses, this vitamin may raise blood glucose levels if you have the more common type 2 diabetes. Niacinamide may also decrease insulin sensitivity in people at risk for developing insulin-dependent diabetes,

-Large doses of niacinamide can also have toxic gastrointestinal (GI) effects beyond liver disease, including an increased risk of developing stomach ulcers. Common, less serious GI effects include gas, bloating, nausea, diarrhea and stomach upset. Signs of stomach ulcer include abdominal pain, blood in the stools or vomiting blood. Niacinamide can also worsen gallbladder disease.

-Cause liver problems

FERROUS SULFATE (Iron)-

Your stools will turn dark; this effect is harmless. Your teeth may stain from the liquid; mix each dose with water or fruit juice. You may clean your teeth once a week by rubbing them with a small amount of baking soda.

Tell your doctor if either of these symptoms is severe or does not go away:

  • constipation
  • stomach upset
COPPER GLUCONATE-
-One of the most toxic forms of copper to ingest.
- Helps Hair growth. But your trying to satisfy your hunger not your hair.
- Copper gluconate isn't a peptide, it's a copper salt. There is no peptide sequence in there at all!
- Copper salts would be very irritating and toxic if applied to your skin/scalp. They're not beneficial at all.

Intro to Newspaper Design

  1. What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why?

    Daily Sitka Sentinel
    Sitka, Alaska

This Is My Favorite because it is very Informational

  2. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it?

"Senate Votes Down Gun Restrictions" This is my favorite because the reason the government wants to take ours guns is so we will be defenseless against them. One MAIN reason its legal for us to have guns is just in case the government trys to pull something like martial law or something. They're scared of a revolution.

  3. How many stories are on the front page of your favorite?

    7

  4. What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc.

They have the same fonts and colors which is black and white. The only thing different is the positioning of the photos and words.

  5. What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc.

Nothing besides the positioning of the photos and words.

Lenses And Photography Vocabulary

I would use a telephoto lens to take a picture of the president from a far distance

I would use a prime lens to take a picture of a crab on the beach floor

I would use a wide-angle lens to take a picture of the inside of a big house.

Depth of Field- The distance between the nearest and the furthest objects that give an image judged to be in focus in a camera.
Ex: I wonder what the Depth of Field is from my camera to that tree.

Light (angle and intensity)- Light is the exposure of the camera and how intense it is.
Ex: Their is a lot of light in this picture

Shadows- Shadows are the dark parts in the photo.
Ex: Their are to many shadows in this picture

Diffusion- The action of spreading the light from a light source evenly so as to reduce glare and harsh shadows.
Ex: I diffused the light on Photoshop.

Exposure-The state of being exposed to contact with something.
Ex: Their is to much exposure outside.

Aperture (f-stop)- A space through which light passes in an optical or photographic instrument, esp. the variable opening by which light enters a camera.
Ex:
The Camera mr.doerr showed us has a huge aperture

Shutter speed- In photography, shutter speed is a common term used to discuss exposure time, the effective length of time a camera's shutter is open
Ex:I like taking pictures with a low shutter speed.

ISO:International Organization for Standardization.
Ex: The picture has a high ISO.
